Phil Calandra
Project Executive
Mr. Calandra is a 25-year veteran of the technology industry's
ERP and workforce management software and service sectors. Mr. Calandra
has extensive senior level experience with strategic alliance marketing,
business and corporate development, product marketing, channel management,
strategic selling and software license negotiations.
In the past, Mr. Calandra was recruited by Internet Capital Group
(ICG) to accelerate revenue growth for EmployeeLife.com. ICG subsequently
sold this benefits administration application service provider to
UnumProvident Corporation, and it was renamed BenefitAmerica. Mr.
Calandra continued to serve the corporation in an expanded senior
vice president role, overseeing direct sales as well as traditional
indirect channels and alliances.
Previously, Mr. Calandra held the vice president of business development
and alliances position for The Americas unit of The Baan Company,
a global ERP provider. He managed a large-scale business development
effort related to Baan's many alliance partners and also developed
new alliance opportunities.
Prior to his engagement at Baan, Mr. Calandra was vice president
of corporate development for Ceridian Employer Services. He provided
the vision and impetus for Ceridian's entry into both Internet payroll
and benefits administration. He also served as a senior sales executive
for both Ceridian's Human Resource Group and its TesserAct Technology
HRMS subsidiary. Immediately preceding his tenure with Ceridian,
Mr. Calandra launched West Coast operations for SQL Financials,
a financial applications software vendor now know as Clarus Corporation.
Mr. Calandra learned many facets of the workforce management industry
during a long and highly successful sales management and product
marketing career with the Employer Services Division of Automatic
Data Processing (ADP).
Mr. Calandra graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a
BBA in Finance and from Arizona State University with an MBA.
