Richard Morano
Project Executive

Mr. Morano has 35 years of insurance industry experience in management and executive positions. He has been an officer in the following insurance organizations: Allstate; Crum & Forster; Allianz-Fireman’s Fund; Zurich Insurance Group; XL Insurance Company and XL Global Services.

Previously, Mr. Morano held the position of President of XL Global Services, Inc. – a support services division of XL Capital, Inc. with worldwide operations that consist of 26 companies and $20 billion in premium income. His responsibilities included: strategic planning and development, integration of acquisitions/processes, human resources, marketing services and information technology. In a prior assignment with XL Insurance, Inc., Mr. Morano held the position of Executive Vice President and was responsible for strategic planning, marketing and strategic investments in related applied technology businesses.

Mr. Morano began his career with Allstate Insurance Company and over a 10 year timeframe held various positions in operations, claims, sales, sales management and field training. In addition, Mr. Morano has held executive level positions with Maryland Casualty (Zurich) and Fireman’s Fund.

He has extensive background in the following business disciplines: operations; claims and claims processing systems; product development; sales; sales management; marketing; strategic planning; organizational development; compensation planning; human capital management; acquisition integration; and strategic alliances.

Mr. Morano is very familiar with the US domestic markets as well as international markets in North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim. He ha launched a number of new strategic business units and led the turnaround of several as well. Key areas of expertise include: optimizing revenue opportunities; improving organizational efficiencies; and scaling businesses profitably.
